Term is under way. We are having Debussy as our composer this term and listening to the calming Clair de Lune as we come in. Our focus is PITCH so we will be using the chime steps and the handbells later in the term.
The 4.15pm class at Bramcote is now full, but do still get in touch if you want to join, in case anyone drops out.
The White Lion pub at the top of Church Street is a great place to grab a coffee while your child is in the class!
We will be starting our classes again on Wednesday September 9th. Our composer this term will be Elgar and the theme of activities will be TEMPO. If everyone coming for visits decides to stay, then the class will be full, but if you are waiting for a place, do email me on the second week to see if there are any spaces left.
My work is taking me into schools more and more, so there are less private classes these days and more classes as after-school clubs or to cover teachers PPA time in school. If Music Makers doesn’t happen in your child’s school yet, please do speak to your child’s head teacher to ask if there are any plans to bring Music Makers into school in future. I ill then be happy to contact the school to see whether a new class can open there.
A new class has opened at Bramcote C of E on Tuesdays after school and is currently full up, so if your child is at this school and would like to join, speak to the school secretary who will be keeping a waiting list.
Stories from Musicland vol 2 is now in print and can be purchased directly from me in my classes or from Windblowers Nottingham. This second volume contains 3 new stories with an accompanying CD. The stories are “The Unwanted Visitors, “Autumn in Musicland” and “The Flood”
Our composer this term is Mozart. We will be listening to excerpts from Symphony 40 as we come in.
Children may still join in for the Spring term. Simply email me on firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know when you are coming. Remember, if you haven’t been before, your child can enjoy one class for free to see if they like it!
A message from the caretaker of Bramcote Memorial Hall:- PLEASE COULD ALL HALL USERS TAKE DISPOSABLE NAPPIES HOME WITH THEM AND NOT PUT THEM IN THE BIN IN THE TOILETS. THANK YOU. Also, please remember that the toilet for our use is the one to the right marked DISABLED as you come in, not the one through the double doors.
