Sue Lake is the creator of Music Makers Nottingham, and an established piano teacher. She has been successfully enthusing many children with music for the last 21 years. Sue is also a mum and grandma with four children of her own and 5 grandchildren at the last count.
Sue is a charismatic and enthusiastic communicator/teacher who has been working with children and music for many years. As well as researching, developing, and directing the broad-based Music Makers programme for children aged 3-7 years, Sue runs a successful piano practice in Nottingham and is also invited regularly into schools, nurseries and playgroups to conduct Music Makers classes.
Sue writes much of her own music, so as well as hearing traditional, familiar songs, children also benefit from a fresh supply of new material – fun, innovative, and energetic songs. She also writes and illustrates a unique series of books called ‘Stories from Musicland,’ an ingenious approach to introducing children to notation.
